fresh, affordable seafood in a relaxed atmosphere
In the sea (har har) of restaurants serving fish in Bangkok, Snapper stands out for several reasons.
Their selection of imported New Zealand fish tastes like it was just caught that day. I strongly recommend the full flavored and firm Tarahiki.
While they do charge separately for chips and other sides, the quality to price ratio makes it quite affordable. A half scoop of chips is enough for two people.
Overall, it's a relaxed environment with great food at decent prices. It's a solid spot for a date, and even better if you pop open a bottle of white wine. Average cost: 300, Number of people: 3

Ahh, finally!
I no longer have to get a 9 hour flight to cure my cravings for the kind of fish and chips I grew up with. Haven't really explored the menu in great depth because I'm stuck on the fried red gunard and chips. It is just about perfect - so why would I go any further!
Service is really great and friendly as well which always adds to the dining experience. The whole place has been really well done and once you've tried it you won't be eating fish and chips anywhere else in Bangkok.
There is one thing missing that would make it the perfect experience (for me anyway) - potato cakes (or 'Potato Scallops' if you come from Sydney), battered and fried golden brown. Please add it to the menu - I can be the consultant!
