Real European food at great prices.

Quite often when I go to a European restaurant I can judge whether it's the real thing or a Thai version. Nothing wrong with that but I'm not Thai. I was pleasantly surprised to find not only an excellent menu but there wasn't any ketchup on the table. You all know what I'm talking about. If it's a place aimed at Thais, most dishes will be sweeter than we 'farang' are accustomed to and most likely slathered in ketchup. Like I said before, nothing wrong with that. It's just not what I want.
The food was excellent. The portions were excellent. My slight problem is I am, to say the least, rather unfamiliar with a lot of the items on the menu. Eager to try something different, I was helped out by Peter, the owner.
I opted for Nordic meatballs. Delicious. My wife went for the Hunter's pork fillet. One look at my wife's plate and I knew I would be enjoying most of it the next day for lunch.
Also to my liking is the Happy Hour everyday 4pm-7pm, and we arrived spot on 4pm. Score!
I will certainly be returning to this great place to explore the other items on offer. Certainly more interesting (to me) than the over-priced fare offered at certain Irish/ English bars not too far away.
The only reason I rated Atmosphere great and not Excellent was the arrival of fridges etc and the brief drilling! Not to worry though, they were promptly told to stop by Peter :-)

If you like real European food at frankly surprisingly low prices, do yourself a favour and get down to Red Pinn. And leave the ketchup alone!

Ps. The music is also much better than...well, you know what I mean.
