My Porch

My Porch

Great restaurant for those who love good food and good atmosphere. My Porch is relax and nature for those who love peaceful place and we offer you the best service and extremely good-value meal. Our recommendation is Japanese Style Pasta such as Uni Pasta (Urchin cream sauce pasta), Mentaiko Pasta (Cod roe cream sauce pasta), and other pastas based on Japanese ingredients.

The taste is the best in Bangkok! Also, Kyusyu-san Wagyu (Japanese beef steak) and Hokkaido-san Hotate (Japanese fresh Scallop) are delicious! And as dessert, you can enjoy mellow, rich-taste egg custard pudding.

Recently, MY PORCH has started selling wines supplied by Bacchus wine consultancy. There are more than 100 kinds of wines and you can enjoy ones with the same retail price on your table. Just pick up your favorite wine or you can ask sommellier about your wine and taste it with nice appetizers here.

MY PORCH presents you with more cozy, comfortable time.

In Japanese cuisine, yōshoku (洋食) refers to a style of Western-influenced cooking, which originated during the Meiji Restoration. It is a shortened form of seiyōshoku (西洋食) (literally, Western cuisine).

At the beginning of the Meiji Restoration, national seclusion was eliminated, and the Meiji Emperor declared Western ideas as a means to Japan's future progress. As part of the reformations, the Emperor lifted the ban on red meat and promoted Western cuisine, which was viewed as the cause of the Westerner's greater physical size. Yōshoku was thus created, and as a result of its origins, relies on meat as a common element, unlike the typical Japanese cuisine at the time.

Many Japanese, particularly of the older generation, have nostalgic feelings about yōshoku and identify it with home cooking.

Cozy place in the middle of the city

This place is a nice Japanese style Italian restaurant just a few minutes from the bts station. We had pasta, salad, pork stew, and omu rice; and all were great. Superb service they offered was unbeatable and comparable or even better than many so-called 'hi-so' restaurants around the town.
Note: They just started to have a corner of their own wine shop which you can purchase for a drink in the restaurant at retail price! Average cost: 525, Number of people: 2

Recommended!

Out of the 5-6 restaurants I have tried using vouchers from ROB, I would say this one has been the most worthwhile. I would call it "reasonably overpriced"(unlike other restaurants here, which are just plain overpriced!), quality food, good service, nice atmosphere and satisfying portions for both my Thai girlfriend and me. Our 350 baht voucher had expired, but they let us use it anyway, which was much appreciated!
