My Porch

My Porch restaurant is one of the most comfortable, charming and relaxing eateries in Bangkok. As the name would suggest, there are large outdoor eating areas with abundant greenery and homey decorative touches. Even the interior feels like cozy porch, with a highlight being the phenomenally comfortable seating in their perfectly-scaled wicker chairs or generously upholstered benches. It is a place you could sit and enjoy for hours.

My Porch is well known amongst Japanese ex-pats regulars, who adore My Porch for dishes such as their Japanese Style Pastas, the popular Uni Pasta (Urchin cream sauce pasta), the Mentaiko Pasta (Cod roe cream sauce pasta), and other favorites. Japanese businessmen especially love the Kyusyu-san Wagyu (Japanese beef steak) and Hokkaido-san Hotate (Japanese fresh Scallop).

While the ambiance is unmatched, My Porch also serves up an incredible menu of Yōshoku cuisine. Do you know Yoshouku? If not, you really should—and this is the place to try it! They do it well and have friendly service and staff, which makes it a truly special dining experience. Yōshoku cuisine hails from Japan and refers to a style of Western-influenced cooking. That’s right: it is the Japanese version of pastas, salads, and other dishes. It is totally unique and delicious. It isn’t Japanese and it isn’t Western—it’s Yōshoku!

Thais and western ex-pats are beginning to discover the special menu at My Porch and are coming back for more. You absolutely must save room for dessert and coffee. The coffee is prepared perfectly and – omg—the custard pudding is out of this world. There is no better in Bangkok.

My Porch also has facilities to accommodate parties and luncheons. One exciting feature is their eight karaoke rooms in the adjacent space—they are private rooms which can accommodate from 2-10 people. You can enjoy food from My Porch while singing along to one of their more than 130,000 songs—in English, Thai, or Japanese languages!

They have an extensive drink menu that includes Japanese favorites, like Sake and tea to cocktails, beer and fresh fruit juice. One additional aspect of the restaurant that will keep you coming back is the rotating specials. Each month My Porch features a special promotion and each week, a new pasta.

For parties and lunches, they’ve got spectacularly prices sets/meals and deals—just call for more details.

Tucked away, just off of Sukhumvhit Soi 39, and a short walk from BTS Phrom Phong Sataion, you’ll find My Porch – a pocket of comfort and tranquility and warm Japanese hospitality.
